portal - red portal not firing

I can't get the red portal to work! I even tried remapping the key to ctrl and still it won't fire. what am I missing?

The orange one?

Did you travel far along enough in the game to where you obtain the "2 portal" gun? (compared to the 1 portal gun you get at the beginning)

Did you even get the red portal attachment? you get it a couple levels after you get the blue portal gun thingy

Yeah, the orange portal is an attachment you get later on.

I finished this game in 3 hours, crap. The only good thing I can say about it was that it was free and it didn't blow up my system.

Didn't you listen to the little robots ? They are hilarious !
Didn't you look around ? When going 'behind the scenes' (like in the walls and stuff, and the last level) it was so cool. The contrast between the white levels and the rusty metal stuff in the walls, and the "the cake is a lie, the cake is a lie" stuff on the wall was ingenious !
Also the big robot was so funny, trying the reversed psychology xD

Even though it still was more like a demo, it's still awesome !

I believe Portal was just a project game, it was never intended as a full game. But it's popularity has paved the way for the forthcoming Portal 2, a fully polished game.
