Portal White Lines?

So I was playing Portal the other day, and there is a white line across my screen that is a little annoying for me. Whenever I would hit a block against a wall, white lines would come out of the wall. When I look up, white lines pour out.

Best idea is to contact Steam/Valve support for Portal they should know more than most about helping out.
