Porting number question

If I switch from Verizon to ATT and port my number over, will I be able to port it back to Verizon if I want to cancel after trying out the service in my area?

Yes, you can keep your number and take it at any company any time.

Just so I'm clear, if I ported my number to ATT, in order to get it back to Verizon, I would need to contact Verizon first before cancelling ATT within 30 days. Otherwise, if I cancel ATT within 30 days I may lose my number, right?

Im not really sure on details but its your number so you shouldnt be able to lose it and no company can keep it and make you leave it behind as far as I know.

You can't lose your number in 99% of the cases. But, what you may incur is fees if you don't do the 30 day thing.
