porting old phone number to new iphone

hey well a friend of mine just got and iphone. She didn't port her old number over to AT&T when activating because she didn't know if she was going to keep the phone. Now she has decided to keep the phone and we are having trouble porting her old number over to ATT. We went to the ATT store and asked them to do it, and they said that you need to do it from itunes. However, I can't seem to find anything in my itunes that gives me the option to do this.
Any suggestions?
