Portrait Lighting coming to 7+?

Just curious as to whether this amazing feature is coming to it, as I don't see why it wouldn't as the lenses and sensors are almost the same between the 7+ and X/8+

The iPhone 7+ is more than capable of doing this. So it's not coming to it? I don't have iOS 11 GM and was hoping someone who has it on an i7+ would chime in on whether it has it.

Apple didn't state whether it was coming to the 7+ or not.

Isn't it available on the back cam too? Pretty sure the 8+ was seen with this feature and it doesn't have Face ID.

It does not have it. But I’m going to bet the processor plays a roll. The A11 is 70% faster and has a much better GPU (30% faster).

You state the A10 is more than capable, but you have abolsitely no evidence of that. It’s being rendered in real time. There is a possibility it can’t do it.

The 8+ has the rear, the X has both front and rear.

I’m wondering whether the portrait lighting feature will work well for objects as well as faces? I’m assuming it would just like portrait mode currently does but I read something that mentioned it detecting the face in an image.

It uses facial recognition, it won’t work on an object
