Its great to already see all the reports on iPadOS from devs and brave users here. I'll be testing it out once there is a public beta available.

One thing I have not seen is any report on how iPadOS handles portrait orientation. There are a few times I prefer portrait on my 12.9 gen 2, but it is limited by a lot of poor design choices in iOS 12 and before. Split-view for example needs an overhaul.

any testing or thoughts on portrait orientation for iPadOS?

I would appreciate a screenshot too.

Every single video is in landscape. I’m curious too.

Here's a not very useful/flattering view of portrait multitasking with Safari and a terminal. It's 1/3 to 2/3 split. There's only so much you can do with a tall thin screen, isn't there?

thank you @cambookpro

and wow, this is very unfortunate. For all the efforts Apple put into iPadOS apparently it was too much to imagine users might use the iPad in portrait.
