Ports seem to close automatically on router

I setup noip the other night. I've been successful in getting to access my Mac Mini remotely to access CouchPotato.

Access to the Mini seems sporadic. The only way I've been succesful in accessing the mini remotely is by first going into my iOS Plex app and checking my server TV Shows, or Movies. Then after doing this, I'm able to access my Mini. It almost feels like the Plex app is "waking" the Mini.

I used a port Utility to check the ports, and they are Open (when it works) but change to closed shortly afterwards.

Anyone have any idea why this could be, or how to fix it?

When you say you access are you doing this from outside your network or to the Mac from inside your network?
