Hey everyone!!! well January is almost over and still no iMac update as of yet. Intel has just released today a 65W quad-core desktop processor. But the question is will that processor go into the updated iMacs??? I am uncertain when there might be an update but I have a feeling tomorrow will not be the day for any updates because tomorrow is a big day. Apple likes to do their updates when it is quiet.

So now January 27th or February 3rd? We all know iLife 09 will be shipping soon and as stated it is supposed to be shipping at the end of the month. It would be nice to see the updated iMacs and iLife 09 get released at the same time but I do not think that will be case. What do you all think??? any predictions on when you think the iMacs will see the update.

I think we should all calm down on the speculation... Just a month ago we were all almost positive there would be a new iMac come macworld, remember the news from the chinese supplier? And the buyers guide predictions? Well, I'm sure you also remember nothing came out!

Now your basing your prediction on the thought the iLife should be coming out soon (though we don't know exactly when) and Apple is just going to say something like

"iLife 09 will be released tomorrow! Oh yeh, and a new imac with 28" screen and quad core processor... we just thought we'd throw that in there..."

Its crap, there is no evidence, and this speculation is what makes the rumor community so inaccurate. You already riled everyone up with your groundbreaking assumptions a few weeks ago, why are you asking these same questions again?

still praying for tomorrow but i will be happy with the 27th i guess... i wont wait much longer though... im dying to get my hands on it. i pay buy tomorrow...

The last time iLife was updated was the introduction of the aluminum iMac. Since iLife and iMac are Apple's home products, it seems logical for them to be updated simultaneously.

iMacs DO NOT use desktop processors! They use MOBILE processors. They will be release when they are released and we WON'T know before hand so it's pretty pointless to make threads when NO ONE else knows either.

Yes it does seem logical and I do hope so.

I know they use mobile processors apple can always put a desktop processor in there as long as they create a nice cooling module with a low wattage processor then your good to go.

Well i'm leaving now talk to you all tomorrow good night.
