Hello everyone
i have iphone 3gs 16 GB, iOS 6, BB 5.16.07, new bootrom, and serial is xx006xxxxxx. I have saved SHSH blobs for 4.1, 5.0.1, 5.1.1 and 6.0. I made a mistake by updating the software with iOS 6 (I was trying some method I saw at youtube and it didn't succeed) and now my BB is 5.16.07 and I can't unlock my iphone using ultrasn0w.
My question is, should I upgrade baseband to iPad baseband 6.15 and then downgrade to 5.13.04 so I could unlock it with ultrasn0w. somewhere it says that those, who have new bootrom, shouldn't be updated to ipad because they'll brick, and somewhere it says that that is meant just for those who are made in 2011 and further. According to serial, my iphone is made in 6th week of 2010. So should i do that?
Thanks :)

have you tried contacting your carrier? many are unlocking now. also depending on your carrier you can find a IEMI unlock for as little as a few bucks. but as far as downgrading the baseband you can't. check the other options there is a huge thread on IEMI unlocks.. FYI IEMI unlocks are the same as factory unlocks.

IMEI online unlockers aren't an option. I'm not from America. And my carrier can't unlock it because iphone is from another country and i don't have a bill or the box, just iphone. This is the only option, using downgrade, and I hope that someone has different answer than you...

You'd have to upgrade to 6.15 (iPad baseband), then downgrade to 5.13 using Redsn0w.

Yes, that's what I'm asking. CAN I do that because I read somewhere that some versions of 3gs will brick if I do that?

If it's manufactured from Week 34 of 2011 you can't do it. But your 3GS is most likely older than that since it's a 16GB.

Just to let you guys know, I succeeded. My iPhone's BB is 5.13.04 :D thank you for your help
