possible creative position? job advice, please

Hello, all.
I realize that Apple employees are sworn to secrecy, so I'm really only looking for info from former employees or 'legal' hints from current employees.
I'm moving to Madison, WI this week, and have been applying for jobs here and there. I just graduated with a music education degree and, instead of moving to a little town to be a band teacher, I'm moving to a big-ish town and am trying to find a job that plays to my experience/training.
I've got a very good possibility of teaching and doing part-time sales at a nice music store. I've also essentially been offered a position at a nice restaurant (I like good food and beer) that I have until Thursday to decide on.
I've also applied for the 'specialist' and 'creative' positions at the local Apple Store. The 'creative' position is what really appeals to me, though they're (of course) not hiring for that right now.
Anyway, I got the 'seminar invitation' for the specialist position.
I like Macs. I like being creative with macs. Hence my interest in the 'creative' position (especially since this, from what I understand, includes some teaching).
I have a pretty extensive background in using and teaching Apple products (using music software in the classroom, for instance).
I do not want to work at the Apple store because I lolz OMG! love macs. I think macs are great, but I want a real career in something that interests me (creating and teaching things on macs).
I feel pretty confident in being able to secure the specialist position.
My question(s) are, what exactly does the creative position do? What are the chances that I can progress from specialist to creative? How little does a specialist actually make?

Position

Did you take the position? I asked a buddy of mine who used to work for Apple and from what I understand creatives teach customers how to use their Apple products. As well as run workshops on different Apple programs.
However you are still in a retail environment.
As with any job what you make is based on what you ask for combined with your job experience.
