Hi everyone, sorry if my request doesn’t qualify to that thread but I was hoping someone could tell me if my MacBook Pro mid 2009 screen stopped working because of the issue reported in the picture attached. If not, how will I be affected by that? Sorry if this is a stupid question, and sorry about the poor English written. Thanks to anyone who could help!!

Do you have any idea on why would the screen not working?
It could be anything from a loose connection to a bad LCD panel to a shot GPU. If the keyboard backlight is out as well it makes me think the machine was possibly dropped and damaged or somebody was tinkering inside without knowing what they were doing. What’s the plan? Fix it yourself? Can you get parts for a 12 year old MBP?
