A 1.8 7200 RPM Hard drive would not be worth it. First of all, it would be more expensive, second of all, it would not have the capacity of a 5400 rpm hard drive, third, it would lower battery life which ruins part of what the macbook air is for (transportation), fourth, it would heat up the macbook air and get noisy.

The Macbook and Macbook pro can handle 7200 rpm hard drives just great because they are thicker, a macbook air probably will be able to handle a 7200 rpm hard drive, but it wouldn't be worth it just to speed up transferring and opening files.

Cool drive, but the MBA takes PATA drives, not SATA. Though there is still some debate whether or not it's an easy fix.

I think drives like these are what Apple should be putting into the MBA and iPod (if they don't get too hot).

I think if there is a HD upgrade, it's likely that the same drive used in the higher end ipod classic (160GB) will be used.
