Is it possible to have a passcode to access iPhone, and then use Touch ID to access banking apps?

Did a search, but can't find an answer.

Slightly confused by this... if you have a Touch ID capable phone, you can still use the passcode to unlock it or use Touch ID. All of my banking apps also allow for Touch ID authentication, but Touch ID must be enabled in the first place (if no fingerprints are saved, I don't think you'd be prompted to set up Touch ID authentication through your banking app.

You can disable Touch ID for iPhone unlock in the settings app.
