Would there be any possible way to use the trackpad on a MacBook as a "remote" for the AppleTV? I feel like it would be incredibly useful, as I'm usually using my MacBook while the TV is on, more so than having my phone around me. It would be cool if you could either hold some button combo to make the trackpad covert to AppleTV, or a quick switch in iTunes that would switch the trackpad to a "remote" for the AppleTV, and possibly an iTunes interface that worked on the TV, such as searching netflix in iTunes and having it pop on on the AppleTV.

If not any way to pair the magic trackpad to the AppleTV? Sitting at my iMac would be cool if I could control my TV at the same time behind me.

I guess all in all I don't like looking for a remote or phone when I feel my other Mac products should offer the same type of function.

Just a wish....

I also wish for lots of money.

I don't think the ATV2 has Bluetooth. So that rules out any Bluetooth input device. As for making the Macbook's trackpad control the ATV, I don't think Apple will ever do such a thing.

use your iphone, same concept.

lol did you read the post?
I'm the same as you, usually have my macbook on whilst watching so I think it would be a good idea. Maybe someone will be able to do it when/if they implement and atv app store?
