Has anyone found a way to change the suggested contacts on the share sheet?

In Apple News, for example, the first one is always my own email address (which I've never shared to), my spouse, then others seem random -- contacts I haven't texted in a long time, sometimes a Messages group chat. No recent text contacts, and none that I've shared with before.

I'd like to have my own text number first (which I share to frequently), and maybe remove others.

I've seen posts on Apple's Community about the wonky results people see there, but none with answers or suggestions.

Thanks for any help!

Changing and removing the contacts from the share sheet is a very common request but unfortunately at this stage it is not possible to do either.

I suggest you (and anyone else interested) should provide feedback to Apple here https://www.apple.com/feedback/

... or through the beta feedback app.

Personally I would like the contacts removed from the share sheet (I.e. an option to toggle them off/on).

They take up too much space in the share sheet, I don’t want contacts splashed accross the system and it is easy to accidentally share to a contact by mistake. That accidental share could be anyone you have contacted, even a stranger when you emailed a business or local builder etc.

The old method worked perfectly fine, was easy and in my opinion did not need to be changed.

I find it ironic that Apple likes to hide so many useful features (in particular I’m thinking about the mail app redesign) and then they do something like this which is exposing unnecessary stuff.

Yes! Accidentally sharing with someone irrelevant is a real concern. It makes no sense that we don't get to customize who we want to share with, especially as it doesn't suggest people I've actually shared with, and gives me a full row of people that I never have. Very intrusive and distracting.

Submitted feedback. I hope others do the same, however minimal the chances of being heard.

I’m tired of almost accidentally sending people I know things I dont want to send them. Is there anyway I can remove all friends from the new share sheet?
