when I ordered for IUP ar 12:01, in-store was listed as unavailable. Looks like it was a glitch for some early IUP orders... does anyone know if it's possible to switch to in-store after placing the order.

Same thing happened for my Apple Watch as well....

I’m in the same boat. Mine actually said delivery on the 21st and now it says 28th-5th. Store pickup was unavailable at the time but now if I look, it is available at my local store. I’m going to contact them in the morning to see what they can do.

In the morning will be to late.. I would just let it deliver. Unless you for sure cancel your order and can reorder really quick
 
I think I'm just SOL for pickup... going to have to let it deliver.
 
I was in the same boat as you guys and what I would recommend is to cancel the order being shipped to you and place a pick up order. I did that half an hour ago and there are still stores that are showing availability. Should be a much smoother process too which is nice.
 
Once you place the order, you cannot change the option. You'll need to cancel and get back to the end of the line. At this point I would not cancel the order as the deliver dates have changed for certain model. If you check that it's still set for 9/21/18 then I suppose you can cancel and re-order provided that it still shows available for pick up at your local apple store.
