I tried using vista's built in backup feature wirelessly, it failed. (I haven't tried it since the update that allows you to do wireless TM backups on macs though.) Is there any program that allows you to do wireless updates in vista? I need to keep my wife's laptop backed up since we both lost a lot of old pics recently when both our hard drives went bad around the same time. I know i can't be the only one who wants to do this, anyone have any ideas? Or has anyone tried wirelessly using vista's backup program since the airport update?

Yes I have used Acronis 10 on my wireless Vista machine to run backup images to networked drive space. I am not familiar with the Vista backup utility. Several years ago I settled on Acronis because I can restore a machine from the image (proven, and something that I could not do with MS OS products prior to Vista and I doubt if Vista will let you do it...).

Because of the location of your question, I assume that you are asking about a backup from a BootCamp Vista install. The first question I would ask is how good is your wireless connection?

How do you backup your OSX?

Neil.

no, I'm asking because I need to back up my wife's vista laptop. I don't know of any windows forums. I don't use windows on my mac enough to need to back it up. Is this program, acronis, free?
