Possible to have larger than 32GB FAT32 partition for Vista on iMac?

I have a 20inch core 2 duo intel imac, and recently installed Vista; for some reason, it ended up being NFTS which is annoying because i can't access my osx files from Vista and vice versa; the solution obviously is to reinstall and partition the drive as FAT32. is there a simple way to do this? do i delete the existing partition first using bootcamp and then make a new one with fat32, then reinstall windows? even though i registered my windows already when i reinstall it using the same serial will it give me any issues?

for some reason they said the max one can partition for fat32 within bootcamp is 32gb? i've seen larger fat32 partitions though, has anyone made larger ones?

Windows itself limits its formatting utility to 32 Mb for FAT32. It's an artificial limit to 'encourage' you to use NTFS. Thanks Microsoft,
You can format any size of FAT partition you want with OSX Disk Utility -- choose MS-DOS format for the partition.

Just letting you know, I'm pretty sure you can't run Vista on FAT32.

well, i thought i had told it to set it to fat32 but for some reason it's nfts; so i don't know if what you said is true or not, but when i installed bootcamp it told me you could you set the vista partition to be fat32, but it would limit you to 32gb...i'm kind of annoyed that it's NFTS because now i can't exchange info between the 2 OS's, and i only have 1 gig of ram and would rather not spend more money to get parallels.

As M@lew already mentioned, Vista will not install on a FAT32 partition. You can still read files on an NTFS partition from OS X, but won't be able to write. There are 3rd party apps that can write to NTFS, or you could invest in a copy of Parallels.
