Is it possible to remove the airport card without damaging it or losing the ability to reinstall it later? and if so, how? :)

Sorry if this has already been answered. Didn't find it via search.

It is possible as it is based on a Mini PCI-Express card, but you'll need to disassemble the iMac quite a bit to get access to it.

voided warranty.... hmmm sounds like time for a plan B. Thanks anyways!

Just personal preference. I prefer to have a computer without the net right now -full time student- and actually removing the capability from my computer is the most surefire way to avoid wasting time. :)

LOL

But what about email and your assignments?

I'm on campus so much it doesn't really matter. I like to get work done at school and just use my home comp for photo video editing.

Any ideas?

well since everyone here is making it soundlike its not worth taking out the airportcard, the only thing i could think of is "ripping" up the peice of paper w/ the password (assuming the PW is ridiculous ie.1h3hj3)

Haha! desperate times = desperate measures :)

I think I will make it ridiculously long, write it down, and just give the code to a friend for a while. Sounds like a plan!
