Hey there,

Is is possible to read the code from an existing iPhone app? I know in the DEv center there is sample code, but I'm interested to see how certain apps work.

No, it's not. Source code is compiled to a native binary format before it can run on the device. There is no way to fully recover the original source code from the machine code.
