Possible to sync SD instead of HD?

Hi guys! I am leaving for on a trip in a couple of days and am only taking my IPAD. I am trying to load as much as possible onto the device for all the plane flights. Most of my itunes content is HD, and my itunes automatically syncs the HD video file, which obviously greatly reduces how much I content I can store. Is it possible to select the SD file to sync instead of the HD one? Any help would be appreciated.

Select "Prefer Standard Definition Videos" on the summary page of your iPad in iTunes.
