Possible to upgrade Mac Mini (2.26 Fall 09) with MacBook RAM? 2GB to 4GB

my macbook screen was damaged and being in a jam, i purchased a mac mini, (turned out to be cheaper than fixing the screen - at least through apple care) -- I bought the least expensive model a few months ago with 2.26ghz and 2GB of ram -- however my macbook had 4GB. Wanted to see if anyone knows if it is fine to use with the Mac Mini?

Macbook Ram Specs: 2 DIMMS of Samsung 2GB 2Rx8 PC2-5300S-555-12-E3 M470T5663EH3-CE6


I'm guessing it's not because the mac mini's RAM is the 2GB 1067 MHz DDR3 and I'm pretty sure the Macbook RAM is DDR2 -- any help much appreciated.

Yep, the RAM from the MacBook is not compatible with Mac mini, due to being DDR2 (MB).

Maybe you can find cheaper RAM on eBay, but make sure it is PC8500 DDR3 1066MHz SO-DIMM 204 Pin RAM.
