Possible to use Icloud as apple ID?

Im planning on to register a completly new email and also an Apple ID,

I was wondering, is it possible to use icloud mail as apple id also?

As far as I know, no. Your Apple ID cannot be an email address of a domain owned by Apple. So you cannot have 1 account for iTunes and iCloud using an iCloud.com email address...

It actually works,

Ive created a new icloud email adress from my mac from icloud settings, and then just opened a Apple ID, and it worked, bought apps and so on

Now you know thanks to me
