I helped jailbreak my friends iphone 3g that was running 2.2 fw. At first it worked perfectly, when he took it home he realised he wasn't getting any reception. He then tried a few things before restoring the phone through the phones settings apparantly. Now the phone when starting up freezes on the apple screen and does nothing from there. He has also said that it is not recognised when connected via USB.

Luckily he has insurance but the problem i see is that as it was jailbroken they may void his warranty, not sure on what to do and is it fixable???

luckly? you mean $h!ty that the iphone doesnt have insurance for you messing up.

having said that its and easy fix.. DFU mode itunes will recognize it and just restore that is it..
