I've been getting into aviation & flying planes recently and I started to think about planes a lot and what my dream aircraft is. So I thought about it a lot and my favorite aircraft is the Cirrus Vision SF50. I like it's sleek look & design. Honestly it's like an apple plane.

So basically post a picture of your dream aircraft that you would like to own and fly some day.

F-18... Ever since I saw Independence Day, I've always dreamed of flying in one.

F-16 because of Iron Eagle... hahaha Chappy!

F-15, always a classic for me. Also, I like how the original Decepticons were modeled after these jets.

F-14 from Top Gun.

I like old school planes too... Like the B-17.

Well I meant realistically in terms of "you are able to buy one" - not necessarily me though - it doesn't fit in this month budget anymore. :D

Up, up in my studio, studio
Dream, you say? Fine, I'll dream.

Intrepid_class_top_quarter_aft.jpg

Nobody said the vehicle had to be real.

Okay, before you guys say anything about it being a spaceship and not an aircraft: Intrepid-class starships had surface landing gear, as established in a few ST: Voyager episodes, including "Basics". Thus, the ship could technically take off and land, although lift is generated strictly by engine thrust and not by aerodynamics. Other ships like the Enterprise-D and -E depended on shuttles or transporter beams for moving personnel and cargo to planetary surfaces.

Of course, I'd want the USS Voyager as featured in "Endgame," with the enhanced ablative armor and transphasic torpedoes.

EDIT: To petewow and hobbyrennfahrer: GMTA! :D

F22 and SR71 hands down.

The military aircraft is where all the fun's at. SCRAM jets and other goodies coming up should be fun too--- until the g forces tear your body apart.

I'm about 90% through getting my PPL and realistically, my dream plane to fly would probably be a Cirrus SR22, they are like the aircraft equivalent of a sports car...

However if it could be any plane,

It used to be the Avro Vulcan...

However i see that every few days and the awesomeness has worn off a little so now, my dream plane to fly if money was no object etc. would be...

The Diamond Katana DA-20 is the only plane I've flown (that's not me):

The English Electric Lightning is just bonkers, two huge engines strapped together, it did exactly what it had to do take off and climb really quickly to intercept.

And of course I've flown in G-BOAD, which shares the same date of birth as me!
