OK So I did a search and didn't find anything.
I'll start...
( Can be ANY computer. )


My first ever comp was an Acorn Electron -

Followed by a Spectrum Plus -

Then I stepped the game up, My first Job at Curries & with my first ever wage I bought my first own-bought computer, An Amiga 500 -

Unfortunately I was plagued with faulty one after faulty one, So I managed to upgrade to an A1200+ -

And i loved it!

Took a break for a few years and ended up with various packard hell's Compaq's & acres.

Then I got into gaming and building my own rigs which ended up like this...

And now, I'm the happy owner of my Mac's!

Our first computer was a Pentium 150 with 16MB RAM (Cut from a 1997 magazine):

Followed by a Duron with 128MB RAM and Windows 98:

Then in 2003 I got an Athlon 2400+ with 512MB RAM and Windows XP:

Bought a Dell Inspiron in 2007 with Vista:

Built my own PC in 2009:

Got my first Macs in 2010:

This was my first - I built it from a kit.

I've run a wide range of stuff since ranging from minicomputers through to Ataris, various DOS and Windows boxen, Sun and SGI hardware, NeXT and, of course, lots of Macs (starting with a Plus in '87)

2007 - Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo P (2.8 GHz / 1 GB RAM / Windows Vista)

2009 - Compaq Presario SR XXXXNL (2.1 GHz / 3 GB RAM / Windows 7)

2011 - iMac G5 iSight (20" / 2.1 GHz / 2.5 GB RAM / Mac OS X Leopard)

2011 - iMac Aluminum (20" / 2.4 GHz / 4 GB RAM / Mac OS X Lion)

First one was an old AMD 80386 DX/40mhz machine with a 14" CRT display and MS-Dos 5.0. Remember very well gorillas.bas and nibbles.bas games and the wonders of the MS DOS Shell. How very basic. It had a marvellous 40mb HDD - a 5.25" floppy drive and a 3.5" drive too. And later was upgraded to have a sound-card and CD-ROM drive.

And then got Sid Meiers Civilisation 1.0 - it was amazing.

No longer have that computer any more, and I'm not able to find any photos of it, since it was so long ago.

I also remember very fondly F-117A Stealth Fighter game from Microprose, flying that thing very slowly at low altitude trying to creep past the opposition. Great memories from ages ago!

Then various PC's up to my first mac, a 2003 iBook G3 800Mhz. I've never turned back!

The first one that was mine was a hand me down from my dad when I was little. It was originally a 33MHz 386 with 4MB RAM and a 100MB hard drive, which was honestly about the best you could get when he bought it, I believe about 20 years ago. Probably came with DOS, but it had 3.11 on it in my first memory of it. Later got upgraded to a 100MHz 486 DX, 16MB RAM and an additional 860MB (or something like that) hard drive that cost about $300 at the time. It got win95 shortly after its release. Loved that OS. The thing was old enough that it actually had a hard switch on the front to turn it on and off, so you actually had to flip it when the screen came up saying it was safe to turn off the computer.

I played a lot of pinball and other games on there. We had one called Hover that came with the win 95 expansion pack or whatever. That was a fun one.

I haven't honestly had my own computer since that one died a few years back until my current aluminum MacBook.

The first computer I ever used when I was a kid was an Apple ][e, which I still own.

Then we got a Quadra 660AV (System Software 7 woohoo!)

Afterwards there was an upgrade to Power Macintosh 6100

Then there was a long gap and the next computer was my first laptop, an iBook G3

After that, I got an iBook G4, since then I've owned 4 MacBook Pros (Every non-unibody 15" generation), 2 MacBooks, 4 Mac Minis, a PowerMac G5, an iMac G4, an Intel iMac and a 12 core Mac Pro.

I did waste a great deal of time and money with several IMITATION Computers in the past... but those don't count!

One of these!

(Not my picture) It had an 8088, that hideous looking monitor, and a 32mb hard drive that made a funny 'beeping' noise when it seeked. Instead of the funny keyboard, I had a regular IBM M101 clone.

@ dude above: I always thought it was neat how those little Apple CRT monitors matched exactly with the shape and size of the LCs.

I had messed around with a Vic/C 64, but these were more games machines.

My first real computer was a Tulip 1, back in 1985. The name says it all a Dutch computer, an IBM clone. The factory was situated in the same town as I lived and worked.
The computer was purchased through the company where I worked, you gave up 7 days holiday and the computer was yours. (At the time the average holiday allowance was 28 days). The only other stipulation was that it ran MS DOS, like the companies computers.
