Here we go again ;). Last thread here.

Bought another portfolio binder thing that has a slot for my MBA.

Also picked up an Apple Cinema display 23 inch off of eBay for 80 bucks shipped. Win!

If you don't mind me asking, how much does something like this set you back? I've been wanting to get out and take a trip like this.

Round Trip Ticket = $300ish (Southwest was the cheapest. Others were around $400-$600 for the same ticket)

Hotel Room = $600-$700 (I'll be there for a week. There were hotels for like $50-$60/night which would make it cheaper. I'm not a hotel snob but I refuse to stay in those roach motels. Your call)

Lift Tickets = Each of those resorts is about $100/day. Probably go out 3-4 times max)

Rental car = Payless Car Rental (paylesscar.com) Cheapest car they had was $15/day. If you don't mind squeezing into a Kia or some other tiny ass car then this is the best bet.

Throw in food/entertainment/souvenir shopping it's probably going to be at least $1,500 for the whole gig. Probably best to say around $2,000 to be on the safe side.

And the Under Armour beanie was $15 :D

Definitely worth it IMO. Gotta live a little right?

Just gonna let you know ahead of time, you might have a *VERY* hard time getting around the mountains in Colorado with a "tiny ass kia" if it's snowing while you're out here.

Other than that, you picked some great spots, and I'm sure you will have a wonderful vacation out here.

Also something to keep in mind in the future, 2/3 resorts you listed are part of the "Epic Pass" which was $400 before the season and will get you access to 5 resorts. If you plan on going 4 or more times to any of those resorts you would probably save money by buying the pass as opposed to individual lift tickets (plus if you are here for a week, you could ride some half days without feeling like you wasted money). Just something to keep in mind when you plan ski trips because day passes are terribly over priced.

Hope you have a great time out here though!

Yeah, the Kia thing isn't quite the optimal means of travel considering the area and it weather. I'm hoping it doesn't snow UNTIL I get to the resort and then I'll be fine. If it is snowing, then looks like I'll be needing to upgrade the rental.

I know a bunch of resorts are linked together in some way/shape/form so the all pass/season pass is generally a good idea however this was sort of a last minute, get-me-the-hell-out-of-here type vacation so didn't have time to plan that far ahead :D. Plus I'm actually meeting a buddy there for some conference/convention so those events usually have some sort of lift ticket bundle they sell at a discounted price too so hopefully I'll be able to shave off some extra $$ that way.

It was my daughter's 6th birthday today so I got her the two Friends set that she's wanted since the beginning.

Olivia's House, which we've already built:

It's actually quite impressive and she's really happy with it. And also the Butterfly Beauty Shop which is still in the box:
