I just bought the 16 GB version of this from Amazon. :)


I also bought 2 sets of Sanyo Eneloop AAA rechargeable batteries, and a new LaCrosse BC-700 "smart" battery charger. Apparently, my Duracell charger sucks, and is probably ruining my batteries, since it needs to charge in pairs, and it charges based on a timer rather than based on the needs of each battery. My new charger has 4 independent channels, and can charge each battery by the amount it requires.

New 'scope, Littman Cardiology III. My old one has gone a few too many rounds with Mike Tyson, and has basically no paint left on it. However it still works, so it'll be my spare. The new will have better sound though!

Yeah that's what I figured. I'm guess a 300 or 400 series from Fluval. Media isn't cheap, that's for sure and no need for carbon unless you are cleaning out medicine

Nice, I should be getting mine (I should say my wife's) today. I want her new camera to take pictures in RAW and JPG at the same time, so I hope the faster card helps when taking pictures rapidly.

I assume 32 GB is more than we needed, but my wife might go crazy taking pictures and video.

When the DVD format came I wanted a player on my room - which I got on a birthday later that year. Then came the video games with support for DVD and I never looked back. Who needed a standalone DVD player?! Well, now that I have an old CRT-TV in our bedroom - and all the main consoles is plugged in out in the living room the old DVD player became useful again. There's just one problem. Or two, to be precise.

1) It's larger than a intermediate village. It's at least 50 cm (~20 inches) wide and 40 cm (~16 inches) deep.

2) It makes more noise than the early 360 consoles. We often have to crank up the volume to insane levels because otherwise the movie would drown in the sounds from the DVD player.

My girlfriend said to me last night "just get a new one, do it first thing in the morning" and I realized that I should. Sometimes I just get so used to what I have that I don't think about replacing stuff just for convenience.

So - I went out on an electronic shopping tour in pursuit of something better than my current setup (it plays region 2 DVD's and no other kinds of media, with AV-cables out). I bought this one:

It's almost as small as a Mac Mini and can output HD, it's got internal HDD for recording and can take most formats through USB. The price including shipping? $40. This is going to be great, we will be able to hear what's going on in our movies! ;)

Those are very good tires, I have the ExtremeContact DW's. They are very quiet, ride smooth, very lightweight tire (so you have better acceleration/handling), and have more than enough grip for the street. My only compliant is the steering response is a bit soft.

I feel like Dr. Dre needs to get some Beats branded 'scopes on the market, just imagine some bass heavy heart beats...

What, and have to pay even more for a steth? They're expensive enough as is! (Plus too much bass would likely eradicate higher frequency heart sounds ;))
