Yesterday we reached the summit of Ben Nevis and tracked this on the standard Apple Watch 6 hiking workout and now that we are back home I would like to extract the route and data, this is probably quite simple but so far have failed my attempts :)

On the assent the hiking app shut down so I had to restart the hiking app and when we reached the summit I ended the session and then started a new hiking session for the decent.
All permissions and locations were authorised.

So how do I do the following
  • Merge the two assent hiking sessions
  • Extract the route a visual map of the route
  • Extract the data for time, altitude, calories
I would like to bring the information to the laptop (pc) if possible so that I can play with the information and add photo's to the event. Any advice or guidance is most appreciated

I use an app called HealthFit to export my routes (to GPX or Garmin's FIT) and sync them with various services (like Strava).

For merging, I use "GPX Editor" on my Mac. There are probably similar tools for Windows.
