iPhone Post JB issues & common denominators

I was wondering if anyone has this issue:

I have winterboard with black navigation bars selected.. anyway it never worked and all of a sudden today it started working for a while and now it's not anymore. Also I did a reset to see if that would help and I got stuck on the logo (I know this is common) so I am wondering if this issue is connected to winterboard? Thoughts?>

I just removed winterboard and the reboot did not get hung up.

After turning off and back on again (unplugged) I did NOT get hung up at apple logo either!

Could this be the issue?

I lost some contacts after JB 6.1 on 4s

The reboot bug was on my phone before I installed Winterboard.

Shutting down and booting again is never an issue....nor is a respring...just a 'restart' of the phone.
