Mine is all Widgets at the moment. Probably because of the novelty of it all. Once it wears off I’ll probably go for a combo of widgets and apps like on my iPhone.

Then again, I’m finding it so incredibly frustrating to rearrange widgets on the iPad Home Screen that it may put me off changing it for a long time ;)

I keep mine very simple, I keep most of my apps on the dock.

Nice !

But how do you have so many apps in the dock do I just drag it there ? how do you drag it to the dock ? And how do you have widgets assigned to the position and how do you do it ? How do you place widgets on the screen ?

I've been trying to get the storage widget but I can't find that one.

For the Dock icons yeah, you just drag them in. Tap and hold on an empty part of the Home Screen until the apps start to wiggle, and you should then be able to drag them into the dock and arrange them how you like.

As for the widgets, to be honest, it took me ages to get them in that position. Theoretically you can just drag them around like any other app icon, but I found that the moment I picked up a widget, all of the others would start flying around as though the iPad was possessed. You’ll just have to keep playing with it until you get something you like. Hopefully Apple comes up with a better way to organise widgets on the iPad Home Screen Soon.

Widgets can be placed on the screen by tapping and holding on an empty part of the Home Screen as before, and then tapping the ‘plus’ in the top left-hand corner. That’ll take you to a screen where you can pick the Widgets you want.

As for the Storage Widget, that comes with an app called Usage which I recommend. It’s free, and although some of the widgets require the paid ‘Pro’ tier, Storage and Memory widgets come free.

I assumed you used something like Widgetsmith, but that's neat.

Aw man, I’Ve just tried to add a bunch of widgets to the home screen like @adamlbiscuit and it was literally the worst experience I’ve ever had using an Apple device.

iOS 15 has been a pretty underwhelming update, but the implementation of the widgets on the iPad has been a complete mess.

Glad I wasn’t the only one who felt that way about rearranging the widgets! I think they need to go back to the drawing board on this aspect, hopefully in a point upgrade rather than waiting for iOS 16! I’ll be leaving them some constructive feedback.

Hi, I came across this google calendar widget with "add task" button integrated. I downloaded the calendar but the task button is missing. Anyone knows about this?
