I'm redesigning my site and I'm looking for inspiration from my fellow mac users; can people post links to the last site that really made them stop and think that is just an awesome creation!

Thank you!

The MacRumors site of course :)

Seriously though I don't think I've ever come across a site that made me think wow. It's the content that matters most to me, as long as the design doesn't hurt my eyes. I visit MacRumors the most not because it's pretty, but because there's always new content and I get to participate in the content (whether submitting news articles, or doing posts like this).

Some nicely designed sites that come to mind though are ALA (A List Apart) andParticle Tree. The common thing about them is the simple layout and clean design (and they're web design-topic web sites).

Perhaps not the sort of wow you were expecting but this site definitely stuck in my mind

Oh my word!!! I should sue that sight for damaging my eyes!! LOL. It certainly is memorable, but not one I will be bookmarking

You had the tags around the wrong way.

You posted http://www.alexbuga.com/ which comes out like http://www.alexbuga.com/

The correct formatting is this which formats as this

The redesigned iphonealley.com

Some of the little effects make it a great site to navigate around, and it is visually appealing.

I could not agree more - this one really stands out, not because of super fancy graphics and cool interactive effects. It's just extremely well organized, clean interface, and it's so nice to see rounded corners and clean lines in the section well and bucket design. I also love the menu system and the subtle graphics that really are visually appealing just as you noted.

Sometimes less is more, folks. Thanks for posting the link, fivetoadsloth. Bravo on your good taste and suggestion.

Yes that last site is cool to look at but don't look for real info in it. I think the flash is great wow, I'd love to be able to do something like that.
