My sister is looking at the S6 but doesn't want to leave iphone if she can't transfer all her music and photos.

What's the best way to do this? Via the Samsung smart switch app?

Or use Kies ..... assuming the content on her phone is also on her computer.

Alternativly.

Put her music on Google Play music cloud - so she can access them in Google Play Music

and of course Google Photos as she's moving to Android get her to install google Photos on her iPhone and back them up to google photos - hey presto they will be available to her on her android without consuming up space.

Why not iSyncr? It will transfer all of your music over as well as all of her playlists too.
Is she using a Mac? if so she could install Android File Transfer (AFT) on her Mac. Connect it and copy her Users/username/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music to her new phone.

Yep it does depend on whether its a PC she has or a mac. :)

Also - If it's a PC she is using - she could always just mount the iPhone in her computer under my computer / devices and drag the photos folder straight from one device into the PICTURES folder on the mounted Android device too.

I suspect she may need to at least this once use the phone and a pc / mac to transfer everything - like I say moving to Googles services for photos will be handy in future at least they'll be accessible if she decides to switch back or to a different phone.

Is the music bought solely through iTunes on her phone then ? If so that may have DRM ?

I have the full version of Wondershare MobileTrans and it's great. Used it on my iPhones. It syncs your text messages, contacts, calendar, call logs, apps, photos, music, videos. I did not try it with the S6 yet but I just connected it to check if it recognizes the device and it does even though it is not listed on their website. Their customer service is great as well.

Sorry, I know it's kind of late commenting on this, but it's really what I want. I recently need to transfer photos from iPhone to Samsung.
I admit that it's helpful.

I was as deep into iOS with Photos and Music as it was possible to be.

This past year has been massive for Android thanks to Google Photos and Play Music, like the others have said.

Get those set up, upload all your music/photos, and you're good to go.
