After a few days trying different roms, kernels, tweaks and stuff today Ive settle for the following setup with my SGS3:

Wanamlite rom based on latest samsung JB rom + nova launcher + on screen software buttons (like the ones on the Nexus) + siyah kernel.

I used titanium backup to freeze Touchwiz and this combo is super fast and amazing. Four days ago I rooted for the first time and the possibilities are endless! I tried CM9, CM10, CM10 teamakek rom, ICS roms, omega rom, etc.

There are so so many things to do, try and play with you can spend weeks. And all is super easy to do.

Take that combo with 48GB storage, JB super smooth transitions plus nova launchers maximizes this, 4.8 HD screen, 1080p video recording and playback, etc.

And today CM10 has solved some of its biggest remaining issues: the memory leak and video playback. Both are fixed, so CM10 is more ready now than before.

What is you setup? Im interested in hearing roms, kernels, launchers, etc.

I highly recommend everyone to flash the on screen buttons :D:D:D

And with all this support from the rom community you can bet SGS3 will receive more future updates from Android. Even the SGS1 is receiving JB with different roms.

Motorola Droid 4, stock, rooted, Android 4.0.4 ICS

I haven't installed a custom ROM because Moto keeps the UI fairly clean, and stock ICS works great. I use a custom launcher (Apex) and froze a lot of the bloat though. I also sideloaded Google Now from Jelly Bean, which is pretty cool.

Galaxy S3 with rooted stock and CWM. I'm using Holo Launcher, Holo Locker, ICS Camera, Gallery, SMS and Dialer in order to get the stock rom looking as close to ICS/JB as possible.

Eventually i want to go onto CM10 but I am either waiting on an official port or a lot of the current nightly build issues to get sorted out. From what you say that just might be done!
