Thanks! I've been into tubes most of my life. To me tubes sound better than solid state. Those are Ikea carpets on the walls. They were needed to deaden the wall resonances. They made a big improvement in the sound

This is an older pic of my home studio. I'm running a custom-built AMD64 dual-core PC with Windows 7. My mixer/interface is a Mackie Onyx 1620, and my monitors are KRK RP5s. If you can afford it, go up to the RP8s. I have a set of them, and when for nearfield, the honestly go almost as deep as that giant subwoofer I posted above.

What format do you have your iPod songs encoded? How good is performance?
