Yah, I am wondering how you manage to work for a bunch of different companies at the same time. Please to inform us how.

I was the head and of a division of a large IT distributor for a number of years and we got a lot of things for free from manufacturers. That was a nice perk. In addition, many of the manufacturers gave us seats at major sporting events and all of that sort of thing. The idea is that we would remember them, as we had influence over dealers and end-users.

Probably the best gifts I received were a Sony digital video camera or an HP refurb notebook.

I imagine many other folks that work in the industry receive free things also.
