Bought an iPod Touch 2G from the Apple Store. A bit pi$$ed off as they stated on their website the following:

If you order a Mac from the Apple Online Store during our one-day shopping event, the price displayed during the checkout process and in your Order Confirmation email will include VAT at the current rate of 17.5%. However, since your order will ship on or after Monday December 1, your order will be subject to VAT at the new rate of 15%.'

My order was shipped out on Friday (same day as was ordered). Kinda sucks not having that extra £5 which I would of put towards an invisible shield.

Will give the iPod Touch a full video review once i've got my hands on it.

Good job with everything else but my god I'd HATE to be in NYC on New Years unless I was staying inside throwing a party with all my friends.

Is Blue Planet better than Planet Earth? I asked for Planet Earth on BR for Christmas, but saw Blue Planet and couldn't decide which it was that was better.

Fought my way onto amazon.com and bought a Sony blu-ray player. Sorry, Apple tv. Not as compelling for me yet.
Apple TV will never compete (imho) with BR players. I own both and I find no joy in HD viewing over ATV even plugged in via HDMI. I can't see any quality difference between ATV's SD and HD programming.

---------------

I believe Blue Planet is 1 (possibly 2) discs, meanwhile Planet Earth is a 4 (possibly 5) disc set. I have Planet Earth and it makes for HOURS of amazing viewing, I plan on buying Blue Planet for my gf for xmas, though. if your gift-giver wants to fork over the extra cash, I'd definitely go with Planet Earth!

it's just a 32", but it's full 1080p HD, so I'm happy about that. a good starter TV, IMO.

if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost and was it worth the money? i'm somewhat in the market for an HDTV around 30" or less and LG products are overall dependable.

I bought 4 BF Goodrich Revalation tires for my Corolla from Sears Auto (Minus the Buick Logo :))

revelation-touring.jpg

They were giving away $60 gift cards with the purchase of any 4 tires, so I figured it was a pretty good deal. Come to find out it is harder then I though to spend $60 at Sears. :) I wanted to try to get something as close to $60 as I could since I didn't really want to spend any extra. I looked around for 45 minutes, and couldn't find anything to buy. I went back with my Aunt, and found a Watch I kinda liked, since my old one is not working right. I couldn't decide if I wanted it though, so we left. When we got home, my Uncle wanted to go out, so we wen out again, and figured we would stop at Sears real quick and grab the watch. Of course it was gone! So I ended up doing an In-Store Pick-Up order online, and driving an hour away to get it. I went to a Bar and played some pool while I was down there so I didn't make the trip just for a watch. Hows that for a story? :) Anyway here is the Watch, it's a Relic, which I come to find out is made by Fossil, even though they don't seem to admit it on their web-site. :)

04411409000.jpg

They say it's a skeleton dial, but really it's just for effect, the "gears" are actually fake, and just for looks, but it's still cool looking. The bottom middle gear actually spins every second, but Im not sure it has anything to do with the Watch movement.
