Hello everybody!!

Lately, many people have made entire threads devoted to PowerBooks, iMacs and Mac Minis so I'm going to dedicate one to the lonely stepchild of the Apple family: the eMac. It's a great computer, it's just it doesn't look "Cool" or "Sexy" when compared to the other models; here's mine. :)

yeah I kinda agree, it is getting a little obsured. I mean as much as we all love our macs they are mass produced, one iMac looks about the same as any other iMac. Seeing one thread for general mac setups is kinda cool but breaking it down by model seems a tad silly.

I'm just waiting for the "post your shuffle set up!" thread to appear

Hey Jigglelicious,

Would you mind posting a link to the wallpaper you're using for your desktop? That looks really cool and I'd like to try it out. :p

Hello!! This is one of my favorite eMac setups becuase it's on the stand and has a nice desk to match. I'm sorry to hear about the PowerMac? Whats wrong with it?

I'm getting a iPod Shuffle 512MB and piece of 256 RAM

Hello everyone!! Today was my birthday so my parents got me a 512MB iPod Shuffle from Apple Store. Also, I had some extra money left over so I ordered a piece of 256MB RAM from Crucial for a total of 512MB!! I can't wait to get both!! My eMac will fly now!!

Very nice!!! How do you drive both displays??
There's an old G4/450 hiding under the desk.

The good news: the displays are now much more closely calibrated.

The bad news: I can barely see either under the weight of coffee mugs, orange peel, camera accessories and bills...

Awesome. A friend of mine just gave me one of the 17" CRT Graphite Studio Displays because the screen was pretty borked. I brought it to a local Mac Repair place to get them to degauss it for me. It'll cost $20, but if I have to pay $20 to get such an awesome display so be it. :)

Now whether I'll give it for my mother to use with a Mac Mini she'll eventualy get, use it with my Dreamcast, or use it as a extended eMac display, I don't know yet.

This is the Pictures forum. What do you thinks it's for? It's nice to be able to look at specific types of setups.

If you have a setup should you post it in the "name of computer" thread and the past/present thread. or only one of them

Great looking eMac!!! Do you notice a huge speed difference with the 1.4GHz instead of the 1.25GHz?

Actually, I overclocked it to 1.4GHz from 800mhz. So yes, you could say that it was quite a speed bump :)

Actually, to tell you the truth, I can't really say i noticed a difference, because I overclocked the eMac the day I purchased it

Wow!! Was that hard to do? I probably could never do it becuase I would probably mess it up.
