I'm looking to completely overhaul my wardrobe, but I'm lacking some inspiration. I've spent hours scouring the web and visiting stores but can't find anything that I like.

I've seen the many "Post a picture of your last purchase" threads, and some of you have some great clothes. So I figured I'd ask you, the people of MacRumors, what your favourite outfit is!

Now, before we start, just a few ground rules.

• I'm a male, so I'd appreciate it if you only post men's clothing.
• Please let me know where you got each item of clothing from, and how much it cost.

Bring on the inspiration!

Well, I'm really looking for something casual to wear, say for hanging out with friends, or going out to lunch.

Well, after a quick google, I have found your current attire:

I would recommend a new hair cut, and possibly lose the scarf, though you will no doubt upset Grandma if you do that :(

Seriously though, check out Zara and H&M.

You're right, I should really update my look.

Edit: I just saw your suggestions for Zara and H&M. I'll have a look at them, thanks!

What do you feel comfortable spending for:
A t-shirt...
A button down shirt...
A pair of jeans/chinos...
A pair of shoes...
A jacket/coat...

---------------------------------------------------

You also can't go wrong with a button down. Something on this
http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/shirts/oxfordshirts/PRDOVR~54220/54220.jsp
54220.jsp

For a coat

product.jsp

You can't go wrong with chinos. I would recommend something like these

24976.jsp

For shoes

For a t-shirt you can't go wrong with a solid white v-neck. You can get those anywhere from $5-$60. Whatever you feel like spending.

This is what i normally wear in winter:

Schott LC9201 (prices go from 200€ to 450€)
COLOR1_1257250564.jpg

+

Cheap black t-shirt (about 3€)
black-tshirt-vector.png

+

Cheap jeans (usually grey, sometimes blue, always straight cut). about 20€

pCKI1-8480329v275.jpg

+

Black/Brown Shoes.
At the moment I have a pair of black Caterpillar Sheffield boots I bought in 2004 or 2005 (100€), and a less conspicous pair of Camper shoes (80€ on sale) I bought a year ago.

I either keep my clothes in good shape for a long time (8+ years), or I go through them in a few months no matter the quality or the price (hence the cheap tshirts and jeans)

I like to find outfits on mrporter.com. There are also some 'style advice' on there. I'd love to be able to buy stuff from there, but it's expensive.

I love AE v's. They have a significant amount of colors, and they're pretty inexpensive.

The only jeans I really wear are Levi's. I can't tolerate baggy clothing, so I wear super skinny fit.

I would go with some Chuck's for shoes, as they go with most things.

For a coat, I'd say look at AE.

http://www.ae.com/web/browse/category.jsp?catId=cat380145

AE usually has some sort of special going on. 20% with free shipping has happened before. They'll probably have pretty good deals pretty soon because of Christmas.

I'd stick away from American Eagle as their clothing quality is awful but I like Urban Outfitters, JCrew, LL Bean, and Banana Republic A LOT.

What do you have from AE that is awful quality? I have bought every possible article of clothing there over time and have never had a problem. I have jeans from there that I bought 3 years ago and they are still perfect.

I am a fan of the other companies you mentioned except LL Bean because I have never bought anything there.

I've plenty of shirts, hoodie and jeans from AE, and not anything from there is in bad condition because of awful quality (some of them are stained and another it tore because my friend is stupid). The only complaint I have about AE is that their jeans seem to run short.

I know what you might say about their image, and it's not me at all, but I love Abercrombie & Fitch sweaters, shirts and polos. They're very comfortable, plus one of the rare brands that consistently fit me well. And Gap for T shirts and jeans. Gap jeans never wear out.

I have like $1k in Abercrombie sweaters that I bought all at Salvo for $3 apiece :D

When I'm poor, I shop a lot at forever 21. They have a lot of decent stuff in the guys section that isn't too expensive. t-shirts from 10-15, button ups from 10-20, jeans around 20... some of my favorites.

This jacket I got for 29 a few weeks ago. More slim fit with longer sleeves and torso.

And their jeans are simple with a good cut. I can't do the true-religion look...

I am a big fan of a cardigan/blazer/jacket, button-up, skinny tie, and jeans. Classy, but casual. Lots of stuff here. And a good supply of plain colored crew and v-neck tees will go with anything. I prob have like 10.

My new shoe obsession. little pricey, but check out zuriick.com. any will work.
