Just thought of a pretty cool idea for a thread. (In my opinion, at least)

Post your first Mac desktop ever. That is, if you still have the screenshot. I still have mine. Here's my first Mac desktop ever when I switched. (12/9/04)

As you can tell, I didn't know anything about hiding my apps or anything. I had everything minimized to the dock and was using ICQ.

Pretty cool to look back on, IMO.

I guess they would be, technically. I never thought of it that way.

yes, but I don't feel like taking screenshots and dragging them onto floppys to transfer to my beige g3 to put on a USB memory stick that my powermac g4 can read

Well, first for me is pretty much impossible as the first time I took a screenshot was most likely around 1989/90... but I was able to find some pretty old shots from a couple of my systems from around mid 2000.

This shot is from my PowerMac 8500 (running Mac OS 8.6) that I had at my job back then...

And this is a shot of my ThinkPad running NEXTSTEP 3.3 from that same summer...

As you can tell, my systems had something of an identity crisis going on back then. .

My first Mac was a Mac Plus but couldn't take a screen shot of that since my screen is shot (lol?) But I do have a pic of my other first Macs. I just took screen shots of them but they haven't changed at all from the beginning.

Cool screenshots, guys! I just think it's cool to look back and see how much the Mac OS has changed and also to see how everyone had their Mac set up when they first got one. Very cool.

RacerX - very cool to see those old screenshots! I actually like how you'd customized 8.6. Nice!
