I know there still have to be several of us that still have a Cube setup at home, or did at some point. If you've got one, lets see some pics and the specs. I'll get things going:

450MHz
160GB 7200RPM drive (still only sees 128GB)
ATI Radeon 7500 32MB
1.06GB of RAM
17" Apple Studio Display LCD
Airport card
Harmon/Kardon G4 Cube speakers
Happily running OS 10.5.8

I had a Cube set up not that long ago. It was donated to a friend though :( I doubt it even gets used. Shame, I would have liked to have had a tinker inside. It was a 500Mhz version with 1.12GB of RAM and a 40GB HD. Was a good machine though.

Why people still use it?
I mean, even the oldest Mac Mini models can outperformed Cube easily.
I guess it's nostalgia thing for those Cube users.

I do not notice any serious difference in performance between my 1.2GHz Cube and my 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo iMac. I use it for the internet, Adobe Illustrator, a little light Photoshop, Word 2004, email and iTunes.

Thats why I posted this as a separate thread from the "Post your current setup Part XX" I don't expect many people still use their cube as the primary computer setup anymore, but lots of people have kept their cubes and leave them as a 2nd computer or just as decoration. I don't use mine all the time, but I have it setup on my dresser so I can brows the web & use iChat without having to sit down at the desk. Useful when putting laundry away or while cleaning up.

Ikea Galant series. I have since replicated the shape in my new office in 1" birch plywood, which is much more solid, and needs no legs at all, being supported off the walls and stiffened with an enamelled steel sub-frame.
