I've finally got mine to a point where its not ALL garbage and wires so I thought I'd share. I've still got some painting to do and I'm working in a very small space so its not ideal, but it works.

I couldn't find a thread that matched this (I see the "mac entertainment center" thread but I don't have a mac in it and I'm guessing most HT folk don't either). I'd love to see some more projectors.

I still have to: stealth all wires, correct the keystone on the final image, mount the speakers, wire the rear speakers (currently at 3.1 out of 5.1), fix my appletv.

Heres my family's home theatre.

Now thats what I want mine to look like. I just don't have the space or the right wall to put a fixed frame on :(

Any particular reason you went with purple? I'm going to repaint and I'm leaning towards a mild matte blue for the majority of the room and the screen area framed in matte charcoal/dark grey.

When we bought the house there theatre (fully soundproofed) was pre-existing.
So we just moved all our gear straight in. P.S The purple looks alot better in
person.

In regards to the dvds, well hahaha theres no excuse. :D
We tend to buy all our movies over in the states (we go yearly)
since all the good movies come out quicker there and they are cheaper.

My home theater consists of a MacBook Pro (which really belongs to the company I work for, not me) + Elgato EyeTV Hybrid.

It gets the job done. :D
