I'll start by posting some pics of my desk which I modded the other day to put 2 computer fans in, as the temps would skyrocket with the tower i have in there. First I took an old computer fan and striped its wires. Second i took an old usb cord striped its wires too I wired them up with scotch tape 
eek and was ready to drill. I used a dremel to do the cutting (don't have pic) Finished result
the one at the bottom pulls in cooled air and the one at the top expels hot air. plus it points right at my legs so they stay toasty! Sorry for crumby pics i don't have a great camera right now.
