Many do - but not many mac users frequent boards like these. My friend in Japan uses only an iBook as does another friend in England. I think they're very popular - and he uses it for just run of the mill Word, Internet and DVDs.

This was about four months ago... it's probably dirtier now, but I've since reverted to Tiger.

I wish I could post a picture but instead I'll tell a mildly irritating anecdote:
We had a client come in that had an older iBook with Tiger and Safari 2. The site we had built had this intensive Javscript/CSS drop-menu system that worked in every browser nicely (not counting Netscape 4, of course) except older versions of Safari. We had to run around in circles trying to make it work on their system, since they didn't understand that 99.9% of other people would probably see it fine. They sold decorative tiles and most of their clients, by their own word, used newer systems.

I do remember their computer looked nice, though... those iBooks are pretty little things in their own way. It was dwarfed next to mine however They ooh'd and ahh'd over mine for several minutes, which was almost worth the $2400. :D

The End.

To all the people to quoted me....

I meant in this forum! A lot of people have MB or MBP now. I know of many people that still have iBooks. Im sorry if I hurt any of you iBook enthusiasts.;)

Anyway...

My iBooks hard drive died.... There were some other problems too, but I forget what they were. I sent it to apple care to get it fixed. Its at the local store now (In Cali, live on Maui). When I get it back, Ill take a pic for ya'll.

I love it with a passion. It was my first computer, and I hope I will have it for many years. :)

I replaced it for a MBP for high school, it was getting sluggish with all the crap that I put on it. With the new HDD though, it will be just like new!;)
