i think most of us take care of our iphones. mine doesnt have a single little scratch on it and i have it for 2 years, ill be buying the 3g next month. you should have put it in a case the first day.

It's hardly admirable that yours doesn't have a scratch on it if you've had it in a case the whole time.

Plus, some people don't want a case for the same reason some people don't want bug deflectors on their cars: sure it keeps bugs and rocks off the paint, but you can't even see the paint, so who cares if it looks great? A case detracts from the design. So its a trade-off.

That's nothing compared to mine, the silver hinge and aluminum back is coming off mine and I constantly have to snap it back in.

I've had mine since day 1 so...
