I noticed my iphone 3GS speed is lower vs. my wife iPhone 3G speed...it is the same both using 3G & WIFI so i cannot be due to the telecom provider which is different on both iPhone as WIFI connection is not correlated to telecome providers.

I have used the following website to run the test
http://i.dslr.net/tinyspeedtest.html

TEST 1: WIFI (Left 3GS / Right 3G) ...Note that in a very few cases the iPhone 3GS reached the iPhone 3G speed...

me again, i will try to run the test later comparing while connected on 3G but on the test above in WIFI i can never reach the 2000kbps with my 3GS when my 3G reaches easily the 2000kbps...They are connected to the same wifi, with full strengt/bars on both iphones and the test runs at the same time.

Do you think it is a defect on the 3GS? WIFI board performance?

Edit: i just reached 1992kbps on the wifi test...so it seems very random but what i can say is that statisticaly the iphone 3G is more often much faster than the 3GS and i can see it when opening same web pages at the same time...

Mine from my 3GS in WIFI and 3G...

My upload speed is quiet low...i guess a restriction coming from my provider...

What concerns me a bit is the speet test from this website...I did it on my 3G & 3GS connected to my home WIFI...the 3G seems much faster than my 3GS...while the test done with the SPEEDTEST.NET App shows the opposite...
What test to trust? Why would the 3G be faster?
