It shows up as an external drive, and there is a way to make it work with iTunes here but you cant use the software that came with it (Sansa Media Converter)

My 5th gen sitting in it's home. I am might pick up a used 16 gig touch tonight. That will give me a new toy for the weekend..

its makes a great pda. esp the note app.

plus you can stop and watch a movie, or listen to a song while you jot down your agenda.
