in iOS 4 was
"private/var/mobile/library/SpringBoard/HomeBackgroung or LockBackground.jpg"
i dont know if in iOS 5 it changed ...
Sounds like you need to use JPEGifier from Cydia.

unfortunately with iOS5 it changed.
Now the image file has completely different extension as well.
On iOS5 it's called (Home)(Lock)Background.cpbitmap
if you install tweak called JPEGifier, it duplicate the file to usable .jpg file.

So is this tweak all I need to get my icon sets behaving nicely in winterboard on tethered jb iOS 5 or is there something else? Sorry to hijack thread but I made my own and not much response.. none of my icon sets work in Winterboard although other settings do respond to theme assignment..Thank you so much, works like charm with this tweak

do you have the latest winterboard installed?
i had no problem getting icon sets to work on iOS except for couple of the new icons, mail, and such.
but generally icon seems to work fine.
i haven't got the status bar icon to work correctly yet, but i read the file names changed for those.
I went back to iTunes did a backup / restore and ran a clean install of redsn0w.. installed winterboard and a few other tweaks that don't cause trouble. Icons changed this time. I think there may have been a conflict with Iconoclasm. Love this app in iOS 4 but it's missing settings and breaking themes in iOS 5.0 so far, I believe.
So my first iOS 5 jailbroken home screen, stable at this point..

Hey did you have semitether installed? I had a problem after installing it where my icons wouldnt change from standard. Did anyone else have this problem i know that its still in Beta testing and ive contacted the developer wbut i cant seem to find what its interacting with thats causing the problem.
Actually yes I was semi-tethered. I did so immediately after my first redsn0w jb. This time I have not yet installed semi-teth.. or Iconoclasm. No crashes and all themes working so far. My biggest woe so far has been the notification tweaks.. phone crashed all day yesterday while I was semi-tethered. Today I'm going off with a tethered jb and hoping for the best!

It's the semi tether. It's not till I reboot with semitether that there is a problem. I'm gonna try to put it on and hold off the reboot till its needed. There must be a conflict. I use custom grid instead of iconoclasm. The developer says app sync is to blame but I removed that. May have just gotten to excited about the semi tether too soon. Lol.
Oh and KMV^^^^^^ it's not a status bar it's part of the wall. I'll post it when I get home tonight.
