2016 Schwinn Searcher 3
Been looking in getting back into bike riding and did a ton of research. Went to my local bike shop and the biked was listed for $600, i saw the same bike on Wiggle.com and they pretty much price matched it to $400, which i was completely shocked by.

So I've never gotten used to the new Apple TV 4 UI design and quirks or the Siri Remote. Plus I don't like how I can't get Spotify (without AirPlay), Twitch or Amazon Prime on it. I use iTunes, and my local iTunes library, less and less all the time so I am not dependent on Apple for my set top box experience.

The other day I bought the Amazon Fire TV Stick and that is nice in that I can get those other things on it. However, the UI is okay and Spotify loses my account credentials every time I leave the app. The Amazon UI could use some polish I think. Overall, the device is nice and offers a little more than the Apple TV in certain respects. I decided to order the Fire TV set top box too and was going to make that my primary device and move the Fire Stick to the bedroom.

For whatever reason I hadn't thought of looking at the Roku 4. So I did that today and decided to pick one up locally this afternoon. I've hitched it up and got it running with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Spotify. The Roku UI is beautiful, well organized and so far, easy to navigate. Spotify seems to be holding my account credentials too and the Spotify UI is far better than on the Amazon Fire TV.

I like the remote for the Fire TV and the Roku 4 and hate the Siri Remote.

So the Amazon Fire TV set top box is due to arrive tomorrow and I'm not even going to open it. I'm going to return it to Amazon and probably the Fire Stick too and order another Roku 4 for the bedroom.

Plus since I'm anticipating buying a 4K TV sometime this year, I'll be ready for it which I wouldn't be if I stuck with the Apple TV.

I sold my 2 gen apple TV's a couple of years ago and bought 2 Roku 3's. I think they're superior. I can only imagine how much better the Roku 4's are.
BTW, I got over $400 for my 2 Apple TV's

That's a great selling price!

I don't know anything about jailbreaking, but I don't think I could command that kind of price for my Apple TV 2 since I've kept it up-to-date with the latest iOS versions.

The Roku 4, though I only used it for a few hours last night was very nice. It does get pretty hot though and locked up once and I had to unplug it to restart it. So I put some tall rubber feet under it so air could flow all around it and not collect heat between its base and the credenza it sits on.

In the settings I found an option to 'run cooler' which I think engages the built in fan more, and I turned that on.

It has a USB port on it and I wonder if I get that fan I just bought and put it behind it to give it active cooling would help too...

My Roku 3's run hot as well. This is why I fan cool them with 80mm 12 volt low speed fans. I haven't had a lock-up since. Before I installed the fans, I've only had one lock-up, but I wasn't comfortable with how hot they were getting. Enter the fans. Made a huge difference. Now they run luke warm. I installed the fans 2 years ago.

Back to Shaws:

I don't know why I got rid of Shaolin Temple on dvd, but I replaced it and also picked up this loopy later day Shaws: Demon of the Lute. Also Chinatown Kid (which will probably make me cry) and Danger Has Two Faces.

I will eventually officially order Hex on dvd and Five Elements Ninjas on blu ray, but Amazon UK is too damn expensive.

Do you have a picture of this fan setup you can share, and where did you get the fans from?
 
After having had a rMBP for awhile I eventually just had to get a SSD for the iMac. Now I just need to find some tape to cover the enclosures flashing light.

Even though I just gave a friend a couple bucks for these. He would have gave them to me for free but he had to drive from Belgium to Germany to give them to me. Best beer I've ever had, and many people would agree with me.

WOW, the flash really shows the dust! I bought the fans from newegg, the 80mm blade guards from ebay, and the 90 degree brackets and stick-on rubber feet from Home Depot. The fan is made by Vantec. I also put a small block of wood under it so the bottom gets cooled as well. It's nothing fancy, but it works. I forgot to mention, the fan needs a 12 volt DC power supply. Luckily, I've got several in stock

Excellent. I was curious to know how you mounted and applied them. I'll probably do the same thing.

I added that you will need to get a 12 VDC wall wart (Power supply) to power it. If you notice in my picture the fan has 3 wires. Red is positive, black is negative, and the yellow isn't used for this purpose. You will need to get male and female matching power connectors. They make screw terminal types you can get on ebay. Or, if you're handy with a soldering iron, you can solder the wires together.

Yep, I've done this once before. I have a building alarm panel with some circuit boards in it that after 15 years it started overheating.

I removed the glass panel, bought a fan and wall wart and a sheet of Plexiglass. Soldered to wall wart to the fan, cut a hole in the Plexiglass and mounted the fan to it.

Then put it on the panel and closed it back up. That was 3 years ago and it's been running fine ever since.

So you're handy with electrical/electronics. That's fantastic. I've been doing it most of my life :)

That is a legendary beer, and very hard to lay hands on.

Actually, it is regarded as the very best of the Belgian Trappist beers, with - perhaps - Rochefort Trappist 10, in particular, and the St Bernardus Abt 12 - both of which beers I love - coming closest to it.

I'm not surprised that it is the best beer you have ever had - some regard it as the best beer in the world, or, at least in the Trappist style.

Well, I'll admit that I'm just a little envious, but I hope you really managed to sip, sample,and savour it, and above all, enjoy it. Those Trappist beers are best served in the appropriate Trappist 'chalice' beer glasses.

I surely did all my research prior to me enjoying it. Unfortunately I did not have a glass from them, but I had one from St Bernardus and used that. It took me a while to enjoy the beer probably a good 30-45 mins.

In other words, you enjoyed it over 30-40 minutes - rather than taking a while to appreciate this legendary brew?

Anyway, sounds as though you arrived at a perfectly appropriate solution: I'd have used a St Bernardus chalice too, as I have a few of them, and I'd imagine that the beer tasted great when sipped from, - and I can see that it looks great when poured into - this glass.

How many did your get? A six pack? Anyway, my best regards to you, and may you continue to enjoy the beer.
