While I haven't received it yet, I purchased this heavy duty dual tape dispenser. It weighs 6 lbs so it won't move around when using one hand. A slot for shipping, and standard 3/4" scotch tape. Plus it has a spot for pens, etc.

Now if you could only find out who took your stapler. :D

I very rarely cook indoors, except in the coldest weather when the gas doesn't flow all that well. Nice grill BTW

Thanks, we are fortunate to reside mainly in CA so we grill all year round. I typically prefer charcoal, but the big gas grill comes in handy when we have guests.

Found a decent deal on a JBL Flip 2 refurb to try out with the Echo Dot

Have been contemplating about the Hue setup for about 6 months as I can't seem to pull the trigger. I am so anal about which lights will get, why do I need it, and optimal set up considering my odd arrangement of living/kitchen area.

I hear you. It took me a few months to finally pull the trigger. With the Echo Dot now, I was willing to try it out to see how much I actually use them and how much I like them before investing further.

I live in a loft, so I'm planning on putting the first 3 bulbs in the lamps that we use as the main lighting in the living room/kitchen area at night. If that doesn't work out, I can see using them in the bedroom just for the laziness/convenience factor.

The Dot will control them from your voice command or are you saying through an Echo Dot app on your phone?

I would want a strip for behind my mounted TV on the wall and then the main living room lights but they seem to add up but I have heard it enhances the TV/Movie watching experience 10fold.

Yep, you can utilize Alexa to operate the lights through voice commands. "Alexa, turn [group/lights] on/off", "Alexa, set [group/lights] at xx%" From what I've seen, it seems pretty slick.

There other options for LED lights behind the TV that aren't as spendy as the Hue setup. There are even ones that plug into the USB port on the TV and turn on/off with the TV.Definitely more fun/cooler to have the Hue strip though :)

yes... full of music and then i've the soma fm app.. bliss.

The BT wifi app means all I'm missing is the phone... which is great.. I don't want peeps phoning me all hours.. I like to be 'Incommunicado'.!

Still listening to the cricket, getting my mails and if I need to facetime... all free!

i'm a bit of a groove salad fan.

The camera on the five is betterer though... may upgrade...

MightyDeals are asking £110.

A good set of headphones is a must though.. I have Dr Dre Monster Studios... at £279 may be a bit excessive but they sound superb!

I did get mine free however! Result!
